Fear not. I bought the PDF, then ordered the hard copy from my friendly local gaming store. Savage Worlds Deluxe is awesome.
They've taken the best of everything and put it together in a showcase of gaming goodness. Spend the money - buy the book. It's prettier than a PDF and the pages won't tear out of a three-ring binder when you're going for a fast reference in the middle of a game.

I love Savage Worlds. I bought the SWD PDF the day it came out, but opted to skip the printed version to save some money. I kinda wish I hadn't now.
